Our Journey with ABC Sound It Out With Me!
As a licensed counselor and child therapist, Morgan has always been passionate about creating resources that support children's development. When she first introduced ABC Sound It Out With Me! to her own son, Mason, a lively two-year-old, the results were heartwarming.
Morgan noticed significant improvements in Mason's ability to express himself and recognize letters. For instance, when learning the letter "A," Morgan would say, "A - A - Alligator," encouraging Mason to mimic the sound and perform the accompanying movement described on each page. This interactive approach not only made learning fun but also strengthened their bond as they navigated the alphabet together.
Watching Mason engage with the book, laughing and moving along with each letter, reinforced Morgan's belief in the power of combining physical activity with learning. It was a joyous experience to see Mason not only recognize letters but also attempt to sound them out and perform the corresponding actions.
Our four-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, also took to ABC Sound It Out With Me! with immense enthusiasm. She quickly memorized the letters and began reading the book on her own, which has significantly helped her grasp the sounds of each letter. Mackenzie enjoys the fun movements associated with each letter, and it has become a delightful part of her daily routine. When our first proofs arrived, Mackenzie eagerly picked up the book, started reading it independently, and performed the movements described on each page. Seeing her pride and joy as she showcased her newfound skills was truly rewarding.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Our Educational Resources
The success of ABC Sound It Out With Me! has inspired us to develop additional resources to complement the book. We are excited to announce our plans to create:
